Reaction time and typing tests

Measure how fast you react and how fast you type, then repeat to see whether you improve.

Which test for which goal

  • Reaction Time Test – see how quickly you respond to a signal, in milliseconds.
  • Typing Test – measure your typing speed in words per minute and your accuracy.

How it works and a quick tip

Both tests run in your browser, and your results stay on your device. There is nothing to install and nothing to upload.

Scores vary from one attempt to the next, so do several rounds and look at the average instead of your best single try. For reaction time, sit comfortably and use the same mouse or keyboard every time, because a slow display or a wireless device adds a little delay of its own. For typing, warm up for a minute and keep your hands relaxed. A calm, repeatable setup tells you far more than one lucky result.

These tests are for fun and self-checks, not an official assessment. To track progress, test at the same time of day, because tiredness and caffeine both change the numbers, and a slower result on a bad day does not mean you got worse.
