DeviceTest

Privacy Policy

Last updated: 23 October 2026

This policy explains what information DeviceTest ("we", "us") collects when you use this website, and what we do not collect. We keep it as short and plain as we can.

Who runs this site

DeviceTest is run by Murat Şahin, an individual based in Türkiye, who is the controller responsible for this website under data protection law. Contact: [email protected].

What stays on your device

The tests on this site run in your browser. When you use the webcam, microphone, speaker, location, battery, sensor or other tests, the data is processed on your own device. We do not receive or store camera images, audio, your location, sensor readings, keystrokes or typing results. We do not ask you to create an account, and we do not ask for your name or email address to use a tool.

What we store in your browser

We use your browser's localStorage for two small things: your theme choice (light or dark) and your best scores in the skill tests. This data stays on your device. You can clear it at any time in your browser settings, and it is not used for tracking.

Advertising and analytics

Analytics today: we count visits with Cloudflare Web Analytics, a privacy-first service that uses no cookies, no local storage and no fingerprinting, and reports only aggregate figures such as page views and countries. Advertising: ads are not shown on DeviceTest yet. The paragraphs below describe how advertising will work once it is switched on, and this page will be updated on that day.

We use third-party services to show advertising and to understand how the site is used. These include Google AdSense and may include an analytics service. These providers may use cookies or similar technologies to show ads, limit how often you see them, measure performance and, depending on your settings, personalize ads based on your visits to this and other websites. Those providers receive data such as your IP address, browser type and the pages you visit.

You can learn how Google uses information from sites that use its services at https://policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites. You can turn off personalized ads at https://adssettings.google.com, and you can also manage or delete cookies in your browser.

Consent in the EEA and UK

If you visit from the European Economic Area or the United Kingdom, advertising and analytics cookies are only used with your consent. Consent is collected through Google's consent message, which appears on your first visit. You can change your choice later through the same message or by clearing the site's cookies.

Children

DeviceTest is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child has provided personal information, contact us and we will help.

Your rights

Depending on where you live, including under the GDPR and UK GDPR, you may have the right to access, correct, delete or restrict the use of personal data, to object to its processing and to withdraw consent at any time. Because we do not hold an account or content from you, most of this data sits with our advertising and analytics providers, whose privacy tools you can use directly. You also have the right to complain to your local data protection authority.

Hosting and logs

Like most websites, our hosting provider may record technical information such as IP address, browser type and request time in server logs for security and reliability. We do not use these logs to identify individual visitors.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy when the site or the law changes. The date at the top shows when it was last revised, and significant changes will be noted on this page.
